Alayna Maysie is a songwriter and multi- instrumentalist based out of Boston, MA who writes groovy acoustic songs with ties to both early folk and contemporary popular music. She studies at Berklee College of Music, where she was recently named a Fletcher Bright Award recipient in recognition of her passion for American Roots Music. She plays fiddle and guitar and sings lead vocals in the Alayna Maysie band, and she also plays fiddle and sings harmony and the occasional lead vocal in the Water Street Wranglers. She also has played upright and electric bass with a variety of groups. The music she creates reflects influences from bluegrass and old time to pop, and her writing connects audiences through emotive storytelling delivered within a blend of genres. Outside of music, Alayna is also passionate about animals (particularly Autumn, her sweet cat that always looks grumpy), feminism, and exploring Boston.

The Alayna Maysie Band arranges and performs Alayna's originals, as well as many covers by artists that have inspired the group . Sammy Wetstein's fiery cello playing brings a passionate energy to the band, and Caleb Swan’s mastery of a variety of instruments, including mandolin, banjo, and fiddle, allows the group to experiment with sound to create something unique. Their music ties together the sounds of bluegrass, Celtic, old time, pop, country, and more to create the signature sound of the Alayna Maysie Band.
